Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.

We have 20 taps mounted on a custom-built system plus bottled beers, coolers, and several wines. Our beers are handpicked by our resident drunk, Beth, and chosen primarily within our local area or the Northwest region. We have experienced enuff success to be placed on the Montana Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselor's top ten most wanted list. It's an honor that we most cherish. Let's explore the reasons why:

Trout Slayer: Big Sky Brewing...Missoula, MT Troutslayer Ale is not a filtered version of a Hefeweizen, but a specially brewed top- yet cold-fermented wheat beer with a very distinct wheat flavor and a golden color. This well balanced and mild beer specialty is very unique in the beer-style landscape (actually a new beer style all together).
Miner's Gold Heff: Lewis & Clark Brewing Company... Helena, MT Brewed as an unfiltered Hefeweizen in American Wheat Style this beer is light in body and very refreshing ready to quench even the most powerful thirst.
Moose Drool Brown Ale: Big Sky Brewing Company...Missoula, MT...It's chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. A malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spice added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Pigs Ass Porter: Harvest Moon Brewing Company...Belt, MT...an orignal London style, lighter in body than a stout but with the same alcohol content. Brewed with pale, crystal, chocolate and black malts to create a creamy, smooth, roasted, slightly chocolate tasting ale with a bit of hoppiness in the finish. The name comes from the fact that after brewing, the mash is given to a local farmer and there can't be anything better than spent grain from brewing for fattening up a pig.
Beltian White Harvest Moon Brewing Company...Belt, MT...a mild version of a Belgian classic. Brewed with equal amounts of northwestern malted wheat and malted barley, hopped with Czechoslovakian Saaz hops and finished with a touch of coriander and orange peel. This is an ale for every season with a hint of fruit in the nose, subdued malty flavor and a slightly citric finish.
Sawtooth Ale Bitteroot Brewing...Hamilton, MT...Lewis and Clark's 1805-1806 expedition took them past the many creeks that flow into the Bitterroot, among them the Sawtooth Creek. Bitter Root Brewing's blonde ale is made from the finest pale malt and hops available. The addition of malted rye and wheat give this beer a crisp, dry flavor. It's a national medal winner, and a year round favorite.
Nut Brown Ale Bitteroot Brewing...Hamilton, MT...Developed in London, England, Brown Ale has been brewed for hundreds of years. English and American brewing techniques, combined with generous amounts of Crystal and Munich Malts, give Bitter Root Brewing's Nut Brown Ale its sweet, nutty character.
Drop Top Amber Ale Widmer Brothers Brewing Company...Portland, OR....A rich, flavorful Amber that's smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from using Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Alchemy bittering hops provide soft bitterness. Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.
Widmer Hefeweizen Widmer Brothers Brewing Company...Portland, OR....A golden unfiltered wheat beer that is truly cloudy and clearly superb.
